The MarketMap is PriceShape's data foundation. It tracks public price and stock data across webshops, brands, and countries.
The MarketMap exists independently of your account. PriceShape builds it by discovering offers across the market, indexing each offer against the right product, and observing its price and stock over time.
You automatically have a view into the MarketMap through PriceShape. Your view is the slice of the map that covers your products.
How the MarketMap is built
Discover: PriceShape finds offers on webshops and marketplaces. An offer is one store selling one product in one country.
Index: PriceShape matches each offer to the right product and its identifiers, such as the GTIN, and adds brand, name, and category.
Observe: PriceShape tracks the price and stock of each offer over time. This history makes up your Market memory.
