The price position is your numerical position in the market based on the number of vendors and their prices. The ranking is based on the absolute prices of products, meaning that it is ranked by the exact prices, from lowest to highest.

  • Price position 1 is the cheapest price

  • Price position 2 is the next cheapest price

  • etc.

If three vendors have the lowest price for a product, they all share the 1st place. The next vendor with the next cheapest price would then be ranked 2nd, and so on. There are no skipped rankings because the focus is on the price itself.
