Recommendations is a beta feature and is not available to all customers by default. Access must be enabled by your Customer Success Manager.
If you don’t see Recommendations in the main navigation, your account doesn’t have access yet. To request access, contact your Customer Success Manager.
Once access is enabled, Recommendations appears as a page in the main navigation. There, you can review potential product matches and approve the ones that are correct.
The Recommendations page is designed for products that are difficult to match automatically, such as white-label products or products without a GTIN. PriceShape uses AI to identify potential matches and presents them for manual review.
On this page, you can review suggested matches, accept the correct matches, and remove incorrect suggestions. When you accept a match, the match is added to your product and becomes available in the product's match list.
Recommendations only contain products that currently have pending match suggestions.
Note: The Recommendations page only appears after the feature has been enabled for your account. If you do not see Recommendations in the main navigation, contact your PriceShape account manager.
Understanding the Recommendations page
The Recommendations page consists of four main areas.
Top bar
The top bar displays summary counts for the current view:
Products: the number of products currently displayed.
Potential matches: the number of suggested matches available.
Vendors: the number of vendors represented in the current results.
These numbers update automatically when filters are applied.
Filter bar
The Filter bar allows you to narrow the products and vendor matches shown on the page.
Filters affect both the recommendation list and the match suggestions displayed.
Recommendation list
The Recommendation list is located on the left side of the page.
The list contains products that have potential match recommendations. Click a product card to display its recommendations in the Matches panel.
Tip: Click the product name to open the product in the Product list in a new browser tab.
Each product card displays:
Product name
Product image
Sales price
Product type
Feed
UPI
Number of potential matches
The number shown on the card indicates how many match suggestions are available for that product.
Matches panel
The Matches panel is located on the right side of the page.
When a product is selected, the panel displays all available match suggestions for that product. Matches are grouped by vendor to make them easier to review.
If a vendor already has a current match, only that match is displayed by default. Any additional potential matches from the same vendor are hidden behind a toggle labeled "N more potential matches from this vendor" (or "1 more potential match from this vendor" when only one additional match is available).
Expand the toggle to review the remaining potential matches for that vendor.
Filtering recommendations
You can use filters to focus on specific products or vendors.
Open the filter panel
Navigate to Recommendations in the main navigation.
Click Add filter.
The Filters panel opens and displays available filtering options.
Product filters
Product filters determine which of your products appear on the Recommendations page.
Available product filters include:
Feed
Brand
Product type
Tags
Dynamic Tags
Sales price incl. VAT
Cost price excl. VAT
Number of matches
SKU
MPN
GTIN
External ID
Vendor filters
Vendor filters determine which vendor recommendations are displayed.
Available vendor filters include:
Vendor
Vendor Groups
Top-level domain ending
Match score
Price difference to own price
Example: You can filter by a specific vendor to review only recommendations from that vendor.
Reviewing recommendations
The Matches panel displays all potential matches for the selected product.
The panel header shows:
Product name
Total number of potential matches
Recommendations are grouped by vendor.
Understanding a match card
Each match card contains:
Product title
Product image
Product price
Region
GTIN
Description
For potential matches, the card also shows a Match score. The Match score is displayed as a percentage and indicates how closely PriceShape's AI model believes the suggested product matches your product. A higher percentage indicates a stronger match. The card also has an Accept button, used to approve the match.
For a vendor's current match, the card is labeled "Current match" and shows its source instead of a match score:
Existing match: the match was already linked to the product before recommendations, either added manually or matched automatically.
Recommendation: the match was approved from a recommendation. In this case, the card also shows who approved the match and when.
Expanding and collapsing vendor matches
When a vendor already has a current match, the vendor's remaining potential matches are hidden by default.
View the hidden matches
Select a product from the Recommendation list.
In the Matches panel, locate the vendor group showing a current match.
Click the toggle, for example "2 more potential matches from this vendor", to expand the hidden matches inline.
Click the toggle again to collapse the matches.
Note: The expanded or collapsed state of each vendor group is remembered while you continue working within that product.
You can accept one of the hidden matches to replace the vendor's current match. See How to accept a match below.
How to accept a match
Accepting a recommendation creates a manual match for the selected product.
Accept a single match
Select a product from the Recommendation list.
Locate the recommendation you want to approve in the Matches panel.
Click Accept.
The match is added to the product and becomes available in the product's list with its associated price and stock data.
If the vendor already had a current match, the newly accepted recommendation becomes the vendor's new current match, replacing the previous one. The vendor's remaining potential matches collapse beneath it, and the card shows that its source is a recommendation, along with who approved it and when.
Note:
Matches must be accepted individually. It is not possible to accept all recommendations at once.
A product can only have one match per vendor. If you accept a recommendation from a vendor that already has a match assigned to the product, you are asked to confirm the new match before the existing match is replaced.
Removing recommendations
Removing a recommendation rejects the suggestion but does not affect existing matches already assigned to the product.
Remove a single recommendation
Select a product from the Recommendation list.
Locate the recommendation you want to reject in the Matches panel.
Click Remove.
The recommendation is removed from the list.
Remove multiple recommendations
You can remove several recommendations at the same time within a vendor group.
Select the checkbox at the top of the vendor group.
Click the ... menu.
Select Remove selected matches.
Only the selected recommendations are removed.
Remove all recommendations from a vendor
Select the checkbox at the top of the vendor group.
Click the ... menu.
Select Remove all.
All recommendations within that vendor group are removed.
Note: When all recommendations for a product have been either accepted or removed, the product is automatically removed from the Recommendation list.
