Why do Google Shopping results sometimes differ from what I see in PriceShape?

How do we ensure you receive the most accurate data possible?

Google has updated how product listings are displayed on Google Shopping. These updates include:

  • More paid ads and sponsored content

  • Personalized pricing based on user behavior

  • Listings from unverified or non-traditional vendors

The example below shows how vendors are listed in Google’s view, but please note that this is not a structured comparison page.

Because of this, it might seem like there are more offers or different prices shown on Google than in PriceShape.

At PriceShape, we intentionally do not adjust our logic to match these dynamic changes. Instead, we focus on accuracy and data consistency by scraping only from Google’s structured comparison pages — the section designed to show verified, stable offers across sellers.

This approach helps us avoid showing misleading or inconsistent data influenced by ads, cookies, or personalized settings, ensuring that you always get reliable pricing insights.
